My Life

Time for a little bit about me! My husband, Robby, and I live in Milford, MI with our 2 dogs- Traverse and Benzie, 2 cats- Memphis and Mackinaw, African Grey parrot- Malawi, and our African Spur-Thigh Desert Tortoise- Spur. We are fortunate enough to live close by both of our families. Robby and I have been married for 5 years, but together for 12. During that time, we have enjoyed many trips to the Caribbean (Bahamas, Dominican Republic, St. John in the Virgin Islands, and Grenada) and various places in northern MI every year (Frankfort, Kalkaska, Traverse City, and Eagle Harbor to name a few). We are excited for a trip we have planned this summer to Bora Bora to celebrate his 30th birthday, our 5-year anniversary, and my graduation with my Master's degree. We are both Spartans and went there for our Bachelor’s degrees. Upon finishing my student teaching internship, I taught summer and after-school LEGO classes in Ann Arbor. Last year, I landed my first teaching job for Holt Public Schools as a 5th grade science and social studies teacher at Washington Woods Middle School. This year I am at the same school, but have moved up to 6th grade as a science and math teacher. It is over 100 miles round trip every day for me to get work, but I do it because I absolutely love the amazing students and teachers I work with!
